I dreamed I had 2 homes, one on my own and one with or by Mom. My home on my own was smaller. I told my Mom I wanted to go to my home by her home. I said I could stay away from her part of the home where others lived who weren’t safe. I got there. It was a big spacious home out in the woods. It was in an entirely different building than where the dangerous person lived. I was away from that person. I could also close my blinds if needed to hide. It was a big home with lots of windows and some glass doors that opened up. I had my kitties there and they were safe. I felt cozy there, safe, and I guess at home. Although I said I lived with/by my mom, she was never there.
This dream is rich with symbolism and seems to reflect a blend of your current desires, fears, and feelings about your life and personal relationships. Here’s a detailed interpretation:
Dual Homes: The presence of two homes represents different aspects of your life and autonomy. The smaller home on your own could symbolize your independence and individual identity. This suggests a part of you values having your own space and making your own decisions.
Home with/by Mom: This home symbolizes the connection between the past and present, where the influence of family—specifically your mother—is significant. It may reflect a sense of security and comfort derived from your upbringing. Your desire to have a home near your mom indicates a need for familial support and the importance of those familial ties, even as you assert your independence.
Spacious Home in the Woods: The open, spacious home in the woods suggests a longing for tranquility and peace. Woods signify natural growth and potential. This implies a desire to find a peaceful sanctuary away from the chaotic or stressful elements in your life.
Dangerous Person: This element highlights fears or worries in your waking life. The fact that you describe the dangerous person as living in a completely different building suggests that you are establishing clear boundaries. There's an acknowledgment of potential threats or unsafe influences, but you are also determining how to protect yourself from them.
Closing Blinds: The ability to close your blinds as a form of protection indicates a need to maintain privacy and control over what you expose to the outside world. It's about managing external influences and safeguarding your inner life.
Kitties: Cats often symbolize independence but also comfort and joy. Having your cats safe and with you indicates that you have a need for companionship that doesn’t intrude on your independence, offering comfort and affection without demanding too much.
Mom's Absence: Although you mentioned wanting to be by your mom, her absence in the dream might signify a change or transition in your relationship. It could indicate growing independence or perhaps a sense of distance or absence of guidance that you expected.
Feeling Safe and at Home: These feelings are highly significant. They indicate that despite the obstacles, you are carving out a space for yourself where you feel secure and content. This suggests positive personal growth and self-reliance.
Overall, your dream seems to synthesize the balancing act between independence and familial ties. It speaks to establishing boundaries with what may threaten you, and crafting a personal space where you feel safe and fulfilled. It might also suggest you’re in a transitional phase, striving to maintain meaningful relationships while cultivating your individuality and security in personal endeavors.
